Reconstrucción de la historia oral sobre el sistema ferroviario en la ciudad de Riobamba, provincia de Chimborazo.

Abstract

The current research proposes the reconstruction of the oral history on the railway system in Riobamba city, province of Chimborazo through the recording of the oral memory with la Hermandad de ferroviarios jubilados from Ecuador, el Comité Auxiliar Riobamba, one older adult and one historian, the historical report was elaborated, counting with 15 people who were interviewed in audio and video, according to what they lived during the operation of the railway, after which the collected information was analysed from which 25 topics of study were obtained such as: history of railway construction, historical value, brotherhood of retired railway workers, organizational structure according to the positions they occupied, benefits received as train workers, transportation costs, sales made around the station, better-known hotels that provided their services to travelers, the railway district, train workshops, the train station and the old offices, etc. What indicates that the railway was of great historical importance for the Country development. Each of the topics was complemented with fragments of the stories that were told by the interviewees, who identified themselves with the name, surname and concerning the year of birth, some clarifications were made by means of square brackets and italics. For its diffusion, a video was done in Sony Vegas Programme 10.0 called History of railway in Riobamba city, it lasted 13 minutes, which was uploaded into one of the most visited electronic networks by young people and adults in general YouTube in the following link: https: // www.youtube.com/watch ? v = mJLxbA8Ctfw. Another means of diffusion will be done through a book.
