| Abstract : | The present investigation proposed to carry out a forest inventory in the secondary forest of Piura located in Sucúa Cantón, Province of Morona Santiago. The research permit was obtained from the Ministry of the Environment according to the research authorization N ° 02-18-IC-FLO-B-DPAMS / MAE. The most suitable area was selected within the secondary forest with an area of five hectares where the census methodology was used to measure all the species into the site, which have a diameter greater than or equal to 10 centimeters in Diameter of Chest Height with their respective heights. 40 Fertile samples and 23 infertile samples were collected. In order to the identification of them were compared with the collections of the herbarium of the ESPOCH and the catalog of vascular plants of Ecuador was verified. A total of 451 individuals were registered within the total area of five hectares, belonging to 29 families, 48 genders and 62 species, of which 401 individuals are arboreal species and 50 individuals are shrub species. The most abundant arboreal species correspond to Laurel (Cordiaalliodora) with 115 individuals followed by FernanSanchez (Triplariscumingiana) with 52 individuals, the most frequent shrub species is Citrus reticulata with 10 individuals, and Miconiarivalis with 8 individuals. The arboreal species with greater value of importance are Cordiaalliodora (Ruiz & Pav.) with 28.68%, followed by TriplariscumingianaFisch. & C.A. Mey with 12.97% and PsidiumguajavaL with 7.48%, the shrub species with greater value of importance are Citrus reticulata Blanco with 20.00% and MiconiarivalisCong. with 16.00%. | Resumen : | La presente investigación propuso: Realizar un inventario forestal en el bosque secundario el Piura, ubicado en el Cantón Sucúa, Provincia de Morona Santiago; se sacó el permiso de investigación en el Ministerio del Ambiente según la autorización de investigación N° 02-18-IC-FLO-B-DPAMS/MAE. Se seleccionó el área más adecuada dentro del bosque secundario con un área de cinco hectáreas, donde se utilizó la metodología de censo a medir todas las especies dentro del lugar, que presenten un diámetro mayor o igual a diez centímetros de Diámetro de Altura del Pecho, con sus alturas respectivas. Se recolectaron muestras fértiles con total de 40 y 23 muestras infértiles. Para la identificación de las mismas se comparó con las colecciones del herbario de la ESPOCH y se verificación el catálogo de plantas vasculares del Ecuador. Se registró un total de 451 individuos dentro del área total de cinco hectáreas, perteneciente a 29 familias, 48 géneros y 62 especies, de los cuales 401 individuos son especies arbóreas y 50 individuos son especies arbustivas. Las especies arbóreas más abundantes corresponden a Laurel (Cordia alliodora) con 115 individuos seguidos por Fernan Sánchez (Triplaris cumingiana) con 52 individuos, las especies arbustivas más frecuentes es Citrus reticulada 10 individuos y Miconia rivalis, con 8 individuos. Las especies arbóreas con mayor valor de importancia son: Cordia alliodora (Ruiz & Pav.) con 28.68%, seguida por Triplaris cumingiana Fisch. & C.A. Mey con 12.97 %, y Psidium guajava L. con 7.48 %, las especies arbustivas con mayor valor de importancia son Citrus reticulata Blanco con 20.00% y Miconia rivalis Cong. con 16.00%.
