Soporte nutricional enteral por gastrostomía y su relación con el estado nutricional en pacientes de 18 a 75 años de edad internados en el Hospital General del Norte los Ceibos 2017.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to determine the differences of the anthropometric and biochemical parameters before and after the application of enteral nutritional support by gastrostomy in patients from 18 to 75 years of age of the General Hospital of the North Los Ceibos period 2017. The study was a descriptive - retrolective design with quantitative field approach and correlational scope - comparative with transversal cut, with a sample of 28 patients of both sexes with ages ranging from 18 to 75 years, the statistical software SPSS version 21 was used to determine the relationship between the independent variable (post-gastrostomy enteral nutritional support) and the dependent variable (patient's nutritional status) for the generation of percentage results and comparative tables, the anthropometric measurements were taken (current weight, usual weight, height and BMI), clinics (biochemical parameters: glucose, albumin, pre-total proteins and post), it could be concluded that Enteral Nutritional Support was therefore not favorably related to the biochemical parameters after the application of enteral nutrition support by gastrostomy, but with the anthropometric parameters (weight and BMI) being statistically significant for both sexes fulfilling the hypothesis of the investigation.
