Abstract : The objective of this thesis was to establish the relationship between alcohol consumption and other addictions, and the construction of profiles with the students of the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo. This study is cross-sectional since it will be followed up in the period October 2018-March 2019. For the collection of information, a sampling methodological framework was structured, the data were collected with the help of the MULTPLICAGE CAD-4 marijuana consumption survey (SDS), cigarette consumption (FAGERSTROM) and cell phone use. For the independence test, a chi-square Pearson test was carried out, given that the variables considered are of the nominal type and the ratio was used through the log-likelihood distance, a two-stage cluster analysis. The average age of the students was 19 years, 25.93% of students are men and 74.07% are women, single students represent 95.87%, 53.5% of students are native of the province of Chimborazo, 89.52% of students are mestizos. 21.8% of students smoke 10 or more cigarettes per day. 55.34% of students or consume marijuana. The 14.39 students do not have cell phone dependence. The variable "Alcohol abuse / dependence" and the others had a multiple dependency, and when analyzing the test with demographic variables it did not depend on age and marital status. Two profiles were obtained, the first with 486 students (51.4%) and the second with 459 students (48.6%), the men predominating and the second the women, in the first profile there is no dependence on alcohol consumption, and in the second profile there is a possible existence of dependence on alcohol consumption. It is recommended to conduct this research aimed at students belonging to other careers that were left out of the sample.
