Detalles arquitectónicos de la iglesia de La Catedral San Pedro de Riobamba: aplicaciones gráficas y audiovisuales.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the architectural details with the greatest historical value within the Cathedral of San Pedro de Riobamba, which allow to determine which figures of this church fulfil the norms or Composite Laws that govern Graphic Design. Qualitative and quantitative methods were used to carry out the study and analysis of the figures of the church, determining characteristics of the Graphic Design and by means of the observation technique complementary files were made with photographs, to later determine and make a weighting and quantification of parameters, to determine how many figures meet the terms of certain laws, such as movements, symmetry, proportion, etc. As a result, it was possible to determine that the figures present in the church do not comply with a golden ratio but with an Andean proportion since the indigenous part still predominates in the designs of the figures of the church and that only 6 figures fulfill 100% with the composite Design Laws. At the same time, they contain a geometric structure, so a briefing was carried out in which a brochure and CD with audiovisual material collecting these figures was designed, extracting their modules and applying them to mosaics to create a composition with these, this booklet is intended for Generation X, men and women from 40 to 54 years old and will be distributed by the purchase of local newspapers, which will serve to increase and enhance tourism, publicize and enhance the figures that present a greater historical value within the Cathedral of San Pedro de Riobamba.
