| Abstract : | This research was conducted in the Department of Hygiene Environmental and solids rubbish of the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Chambo Canton in the province of Chimborazo, it has proposed: The design of the Environmental Management Unit, with the aim of promoting the rational and sustainable use of natural resources which the Canton has, and the protection and care of the environment. The methodology used in this research is Descriptive Analytic method, preparation of SWOT and surveys conducted within the Autonomous and decentralized Government of the Chambo Canton and its inhabitants, in order to analyze current conditions Environmental Hygiene Department and solid trash; and to establish whether it is feasible or not the creation of the Environmental Management Unit. It is concluded that the design of the Management Unit is a crucial tool for Autonomous and decentralized Government of the Chambo Canton, because it has taken consideration guidelines and environmental strategies, citizen participation and instruments of territorial policy, combining with patterns of natural resource management, developmentoriented transiting sustainability and that will benefit their inhabitants. It is recommended that the design of environmental management unit is implemented in Autonomous and decentralized Government of the Chambo Canton. |
| Resumen : | La presente investigación se realizó en el Departamento de Higiene Ambiental y Residuos Sólidos del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado del Cantón Chambo de la Provincia de Chimborazo, proponiendo: el Diseño de la Unidad de Gestión Ambiental, con la finalidad de promover el aprovechamiento racional y sostenible de los recursos naturales con los que cuenta el cantón así como la protección y cuidado del medio ambiente. La metodología utilizada en la presente investigación es el método analítico descriptivo, elaboración del FODA y encuestas realizadas al interior del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado del Cantón Chambo y a los habitantes del cantón, con la finalidad de analizar las condiciones actuales del Departamento de Higiene Ambiental y Residuos Sólidos; y establecer si es factible o no la creación de la Unidad de Gestión Ambiental. Se concluye que el Diseño de la Unidad de Gestión Ambiental es un instrumento de vital importancia para el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado del Cantón Chambo ya que se ha tomado en consideración tanto lineamientos como estrategias ambientales, participación ciudadana e instrumentos de política territorial, aunado con esquemas de manejo de recursos naturales, orientados a un desarrollo que transite a la sustentabilidad y que vaya en beneficio de sus habitantes. Se recomienda que el Diseño de la Unidad de Gestión Ambiental sea Implementado en el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado del Cantón Chambo. |
