Plan de salvaguardia del patrimonio cultural inmaterial, referido a las técnicas artesanales tradicionales de la confección de sombreros de totora, en la comunidad Correuko, cantón Cañar, provincia de Cañar.

Abstract

This research aims to: design a Safeguarding Plan for intangible cultural heritage in the Correuko community, Cañar canton; starting with the registration of the manifestations that have three phases; approach consisting of a meeting established with the actors involved and obtaining free, prior and informed consent; compilation of information from both primary and secondary sources and systematization, classification, categorization through the registration form of the National Institute of Cultural Heritage in the 5 areas that are: oral traditions and expressions, performing arts, ritual social uses and festive events, knowledge and uses related to nature and the universe, and traditional artisanal techniques, obtaining a total of 17 manifestations; later, for the valuation of patrimonial resources, it was used a matrix with aspects such as intergenerational transmission and validity, representativeness and community recognition, and social sense, obtaining the state of the manifestations from which are detected manifestations that are in a current as well as vulnerable status and in force in the collective memory. Consequently, it was designed the SWOT matrix that allowed to identify critical issues and key success factors, aspects that helped to elaborate the Safeguard Plan based on the formulation of strategic objectives and strategies; in addition, the mission and vision of the Plan was formulated. As result, it was obtained a total of three programs and four projects each with their description and activities to be carried out to contribute to the effective safeguarding of the ICP. It is concluded that the Plan will allow to invigorate, revitalize, transmit, disseminate, promote and protect through three phases that are identification, diagnosis and definition of actions to safeguard the ICP, this will strengthen the cultural identity.
