Plan de salvaguardia del patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la comunidad Kichwa Amazónica “9 de junio”, parroquia Cotundo, cantón Archidona, provincia de Napo.

Abstract

This research paper is intended: to design a plan to safeguard the intangible cultural heritage of the Amazonian Kichwa community “June 9”, Cotundo parish, Archidona canton, Napo province; by contributing to the revival and revitalization of the living memory and protection of its heritage elements, starting with the registration of cultural events with the help of registration forms conceived by the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, obtaining 33 cultural expressions in the locality. Subsequently, the situational diagnosis was carried out using the validation and assessment methodology of the ICH (Intangible Cultural Heritage), thus determining its current status, identifying 23 current manifestations, 6 expressions in vulnerable state and 4 manifestations that rest in the collective memory. As part of the third objective, the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats matrix was developed, which determined the elements that influence the continuity of cultural expressions, afterwards an analysis of the parties involved was carried out, recognizing the board members as the group responsible for the management and implementation of the plan, then the mission and vision were drafted based on the residents' expectations regarding the safeguard. From the SWOT analysis, the critical knots and key factors for success were identified, being the foundation for the formulation of strategic goals and strategies, resulting in 4 programs and 9 projects. It is concluded that the community treasures countless cultural elements that are part of their intangible heritage, evidenced in the different forms of expression, so the plan is designed to guarantee the continuity of these cultural expressions through the approach of actions that are framed in the strategic axes of safeguarding: revitalization, transmission, dissemination and protection.
