Evaluación de diferentes niveles de harina del follaje de Physalís peruviana L.(Uvilla) en la alimentación de cuyes en la etapa de gestación - lactancia.

Abstract

This reserch proposes: to evaluate the use of Uvilla Flour (10, 20 and 30%), to feed guinea pigs in the gestation - lactation phase; in Cotaló parish, belonging to Tungurahua province. To be compared with a control treatment, 40 guinea pigs were used whose were from improved line with an average weight of 1228,75. It was applied a Completely Randomied Design (DCA), with 10 repetitions and the Experimental Unit Size, (TUE) was one guine pig. The best results regarding the productive behavior of the mothers correspond to the final variables weight, weight gain, concentrate consumption and total food consumption) which reported significant differences (P <0,05) obtaining the best values in T3 , while in the behavior of the offspring, the variables that presented the best values were the size of the bait at weaning with the T3 (4,50 offspring) and the weight of the bait at weaning with the T3 (1530,78 g) respectively, while for the other variables there were no significant differences. The highest profitability of 25% was obtained with the inclusion of 30% of Uvilla Flour. It reaches a benefit/cost of 1,25. Which means that this type of flour influenced the productive behavior of these livestock. In such virtue the use of 30% of Uvilla Flour is recommended, because the lower cost of production has been registered.
