Abstract : The creation of art toys was carried out with the most representative characters at the town's founding festival of the Lican parish, which allows its diffusion in the local community, through graphic pieces. The analysis and synthesis method was applied, which permitted to obtain information about the characters by analyzing each one of them so that later they could be conceived as real prototypes. Subsequently, a quality design methodology proposed by Bruno Munari was applied. Several techniques were used, such as interviews with senior citizens from the local area, relevant information through which photographic material could be obtained, being useful for each of the characters' abstraction, and surveys were conducted which provided information on the most representative characters of the festival and so be able to perform them as art toys. The requirements of the target to which the research was directed were determined, being a total of 290 people, yielding positive results about Saint Peter's festival knowledge and its characters, making the people aware about the most representative characters at the event among them the sacha rune with 98%, being the most accepted by the public, the clown with 68%, the dog and its owner with 49% and finally one of the characters that no longer exist today, the monkey with 45% , an iconic character whose importance has been fading away as time has gone by. The characters defined in the study were modeled in 3D to be subsequently printed on polylactic acid (PLA) material. The investigation is concluded with the respective dissemination of the festival through an advertising poster design, an advertisement in the magazine and the art toys publication, which allows a wide-spread propagation of “San Pedro de Lican” popular festival.
