Diseño de una guía gastronómica con productos endémicos del cantón Lago Agrio, provincia de Sucumbíos para dinamizar el turismo gastronómico, 2019

Abstract

The main objective of this research was to boost gastronomic tourism in the Lago Agrio Canton – Sucumbios Province, through the designa n dissemination of a gastronomic guide composed of products and dishes endemic to the área, for which purpose, it was decided to gather information abour the gastonomic, cultural and tourist reality or fhe canton, to a sample of 383 inhabitants, through surveys and interviews. Subsequently, the restaurants and innovation dishes that were part of the guide were selected. Finally, the gastronomic guide was designed and disseminated in the oficial media of the minucipatily of Lago Agrio. The statistical analysis of the information collected was carried out using descriptive statistics techniques, studying the absolute frequencies and corresponding percentages, graphic visualization tolos such as bar diagrams and pie diagrams were also used. The results showed that more tan 95% of respondents believe that, by exploiting the typical gastronomy of the canton, the number of tourists would increase and, therefore, they consider it necessary to publicize their gastronomic culture throughout the country and abroad. With respect to the gastronomic guide, 89,8% of the inhabitants of Lago Agrio think that it would be a useful tool to improve tourism, and 99,2% would like to have Access to a gastronomic guide focused on the culture of their region.
