Proyecto para la comercialización de brócoli en el sector de Quillan Loma parroquia Izamba cantón Ambato provincia de Tungurahua

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to carry out a project for the commercialization of broccoli in the sector of Quillan Loma, Izamba parish, Ambato municipality, Tungurahua Province, in order to determine the technical-operational, economic and financial feasibility to improve the economy of the farmers. The methodology applied in the investigation was the qualitative and quantitative modality, being contrasted with the bibliographical-documentary, descriptive and field research types, shaped through the inductive-deductive, analytical-synthetic methods, for the respective data collection it was necessary to apply the techniques of direct observation and survey, by collecting information from two observation units, from a sample of 217 producers and a total of 50 broccoli traders, in order to analyze the existing supply and demand with the purpose of projecting the future supply to be covered based on the pessimistic unsatisfied demand. The project was structured through the feasibility study, determining an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 15.64, Net current Value NCV: $ 45.927,93, the payback time is 3 years, 4 months and 26 days, Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR) of $1,28, break-even point (BP) is 17386 units in the first year. Through the technical study it was concluded the size, location, and optimal distribution of the project, the administrative study identified the legal framework and business philosophy; and the financial evaluation verified its viability. It was recommended to invest in the project, applying the merger of the two tools that demonstrate in a simple and practical way the studies needed to start a business.
