Elaboración de un Sistema de Transporte Institucional para el Instituto Superior Tecnológico Carlos Cisneros.

Abstract

The present research aims to develop a transportation system for students, teaching and support staff of the Carlos Cisneros Higher Technological Institute of the city of Riobamba, for which an origin destination survey was applied to a sample of 290 people distributed in 94.98 % to students, 4.83% teachers and 0.69% administrative staff, in order to collect information to determine the relevant aspects that will allow the achievement of the aforementioned proposal. The results point directly to the lack of use of urban public transport due to economic or safety issues, hence the need to establish a free school transport system that seeks the comfort of its users and not the economic benefit, in such a way that it is sought set the routes according to the directionality of the cantonal road network design, these were established with the help of the Argis program and the Software Network Analysis, the institute being the origin and destination. The main recommendation is that once the proposed transportation system is put into practice it is recommended: to monitor and control the level of service of the transportation system periodically to maintain continuous improvement, in order to meet user expectations; and, guarantee the security of the transport system by complying with the current legal regulations related to it.
