Obtención de cuero florintequi con la utilización de diferentes niveles de ligante poliuretano en combinación con ligante butadieno.

Abstract

The objective of this research work was to establish the adequate level of polyurethane binder (100,150 and 200 g), in combination with butadiene binder (200 g), to obtain top quality florintequí leathers used for the manufacture of footwear, the research was carried out in the Leather Tannery Laboratory of the Facultad de Ciencias Pecuarias at ESPOCH. The number of experimental units was 18 goat feet, after tanning and obtaining florintequi leather, the physical resistance tests, sensory analyzes were carried out and it was determined that the highest results in tensile strength and dry rub were obtained by combining 200 grams of polyurethane binder with 200 grams of butadiene binder (T3) with 1484.38 N / cm2 and 120.83 cycles respectively; For the elongation percentage, the best reaction was presented by the T1 treatment with 75.00%, however, all these values are higher than the minimum required by the quality standards of the Spanish Association in the Leather Industry. The highest touch rating was specified with 4.67 points in the T3 treatment; the same as for softness with 4.33; and fullness with 4.50 points with excellent qualification, after being evaluated by a qualified judge. The lowest production cost was obtained from treatment one with a value of $ 1.08 and the greatest benefit from treatment three with a value of 1.42; that is, for every dollar invested, a profit of 42 cents is obtained. It is concluded that the most suitable level of polyurethane binder is 200 grams in combination with 200 grams of binder (T3). So it is recommended to tan with 200 grams of polyurethane binder to obtain a top quality material.
