Diseño de un sistema de control de inventarios ABC al supermercado apolo, de la parroquia Quisapincha, del cantón Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua

Abstract

The following research proposal deals with the design of an inventory control system, using the ABC method for the "APOLO" Supermarket of the Quisapincha parish, Ambato canton, Tungurahua province. For which, it became necessary to use observation with field visits to the facilities; the interview with the owner manager and accounting assistant; the surveys applied to the staff in general made up of 7 members. The above applied detected several shortcomings such as the classification of products without the application of parameters; the care of policies for the management of its stocks; the frequent presence of confusion between the invoicer and the warehouseman at the time of dispatching the products; the variations between the recorded information and what actually exists in the warehouse. Under these premises, the urgent need arises to apply a correct classification of their inventories based on the ABC method; the use of the EQQ Economic Order Quantity model; and the execution of the manual of policies and processes, together with its proposed source documents; so that there is an improvement in the management of their inventories. In such a way that the company manages to reduce or, in the best of cases, eliminate the necessary costs, increase its profitability, contribute to making timely decisions, and meet the needs and expectations of the client on time. properly manage and distribute its resources, operate more efficiently, fully comply with the objectives it pursues and therefore face the increasingly aggressive competition.
