Diagnóstico del potencial turístico de la finca "Don José" perteneciente a la parroquia Inés Arango del cantón Francisco de Orellana.

Abstract

The aim of this research work was to analyze the touristic potential of "Don José" farm through an inventory of natural and cultural attractions to propose strategies to strengthen and develop tourism in the area. The diagnosis of the tourism potential was identified through the qualitative method because an inventory of natural and cultural attractions was applied, using the methodology proposed by the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) and the National Institute of Cultural Heritage (INPC), in addition interviews were applied to identify the tourism potential, it was also quantitative because surveys were conducted with the purpose of conducting a market study considering very important characteristics that allow knowing the tastes and preferences of customers; in order to make a proposal to strengthen and enhance the farm. To diagnose the potential, the MINTUR and INPC files were used, giving as results that all the natural and cultural attractions are in hierarchy two, because it has certain striking features that arouse the interest of visitors, and together with the interviews it was possible to determine the tourism potential, in addition, through the surveys it was identified that more than 91% agree with the existence of a tourist farm, and at the same time they want services and activities related to nature tourism to be offered. In conclusion, "Don José" Farm is not yet a tourist destination; however, it has the potential to be strengthened by implementing tourism activities within the area's natural resources. Therefore, it is recommended to take advantage of the natural resources that the farm has and turn it into a tourist farm helping to strengthen tourism in the locality.
