Diagnóstico situacional para la implementación de espacios interpretativos en el territorio de la Asociación Guayusa Runa, parroquia Tarqui, cantón Pastaza, provincia de Pastaza.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a situational diagnosis for the implementation of interpretive spaces in the Guayusa Runa Association, Tarqui town, Pastaza city, Pastaza province. Research methodologies were carried out using literature review and field techniques through exploratory, descriptive, and prospective study. The research was developed in three stages, the situational diagnosis was elaborated through the biophysical analysis, where the study area was characterized, the territorial ecological component through a registry of representative flora and fauna, the political component through the analysis of those involved, the socio-cultural component through the collection of information on the population surrounding the territory, the economic component through the analysis of productive activities, the interpretive tourist component through the registration and inventory of tourist attractions, as well as the inventory of interpretive resources which served to calculate the interpretive potential. In addition, the SWOT analysis of each component was developed. At the same time, the analysis of the profile of the visitors was carried out oriented to the tourists who mobilized in the national holidays to the Pastaza city by using the survey. Finally, it was possible to determine the need to implement two interpretive spaces through the analysis of the situational diagnosis and of the audience. The result was that the approach of two natural interpretive trails and a cultural interpretive route including their objectives, conceptual description, functionalities, the requirements for their implementation and sponsorship institutions. It is concluded that the territory has potential for the sustainable use of the resources. It is recommended to solve the problems of the territory and seek sources of financing for the requirements prior to the implementation of the interpretive spaces in the territory.
