Abstract

The main objective of this research was to carry out the organizational design of the tourist center Termales Santa Catalina through the identification of processes to improve the administrative management of the organization. The diagnosis began with techniques such as the interview and the survey, which were applied to the administrative personnel and the tourists visiting the tourist complex. Among the instruments used were questionnaires with closed questions and an interview guide. With the information collected, internal and external analysis was carried out, and the prevailing variables were identified, which showed that the organization has weak inner strengths. Still, it has favorable opportunities in the environment in which it operates. Finally, the organizational design of the Termales Santa Catalina tourist center was carried out, consisting of a structural and functional organization chart, a functions manual, internal regulations, a process map, and a code of ethics. The organizational design focused on taking advantage of all the qualities of each area of the company and its collaborators.
