Desarrollo de la aplicación web para la gestión de información de la Comunidad San Vicente de Lacas.

Abstract

The main objective of the current curricular integration work was to develop a web application for the management of information in the San Vicente de Lacas Community, located 1 ½ km from the Penipe - Baños road, using the Yii framework. In the development of the project, the SCRUM methodology was applied, which allowed maintaining active communication with the client for the definition of requirements and follow-up of the progress of the application. The selection of the development tool was made through an analysis among 4 PHP frameworks, taking into account the ease of learning and the existing documentation of each of these, Yii was obtained as the best score, it should be noted that the analysis was performed based on revised documentation. On the other hand, the evaluation of the efficiency of the web application was carried out according to the ISO 25010 standard, considering the temporal behavior that refers to the response times and the use of RAM and CPU resources. The temporal behavior was measured based on the times used when executing two requirements taken as a sample, both manually and automatically using the developed web application; the result obtained demonstrates greater efficiency when using the application. And as for the evaluation carried out regarding the use of RAM and CPU, 2 browsers were used in which the aforementioned requirements were executed, with the result that Chrome uses fewer resources than Firefox.
