Genotipificación y análisis de genes de interés comercial de reproductores bovinos de la estación experimental Pastaza de la ESPOCH.

Abstract

The objective of this Currículum Integration work was to carry out genotyping and analysis of genes of commercial interest ofbreeders at Estación Experimental Pastaza belonging to Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo. The research was considered as experimental and a population consisting of two specimens of the Charolais breed is determined, the study began by the evaluation of fertility of the breeders, extraction and freezing of semen, sampling for laboratory analysis, registration of specimens and finally a technical sheet was prepared with infonnation on the specimens. Descriptive statistics was used to evaluate fertility in order to obtain parameters of interest. In addition, the STRS method was used for the determination of genotyping. All the analysis was carried out in the Genetic Biotechnology laboratory (BIOTECGEN S.A) together with a field work of 180 days using field materials, laboratory, equipment and reagents. Regarding genotyping with respect to the specimen FCP Samuel 0610: it is determined that five pairs of alleles corresponding to 29,41% are homozygous and 12 pairs of alleles (70,59%) are heterozygous and in the second specimen FCP TEO 0616: 6 pairs of alleles represented by 3 5,29% are homozygous and 11 pairs of alleles (64, 71 %) are heterozygous. In conclusion, it is detennined that the genetic quality ofthe breeders is high, the FCP Samuel 0616 bull showed more suitable characteristics of commercial interest. It is recommended that Estación Experimental Pastaza carry out similar analyses on new groups of cattle broodstock to maintain a database for further studies.
