Proceso logístico de importación marítima de repuestos para motocicletas de la empresa Numa Rider Motos de la ciudad de Riobamba.

Abstract

The objective of this research was the elaboration of a logistic process of maritime import of spare parts for motorcycles of the company NUMA RIDER MOTOS of the city of Riobamba, for which a descriptive research was conducted to determine important characteristics of the import, efficient means of transport, logistic processes, general aspects of the company and others. In addition, an analysis of results was developed based on the information obtained through the use of tools such as the interview applied to the company's personnel as a reliable source and observation sheets that allowed to determine the company's current logistic process. Through the analysis of the obligations of the exporter-importer of the different incoterms that make use of the maritime transport mode, it was determined that the best terms are Free On Board (FOB) and Cost, Insurance and Freight (CIF) since they share responsibilities equally, but according to the cost analyzed the best term is FOB because it lowers logistics costs. In addition, five leading motorcycle parts exporting countries and the costs of different companies were analyzed to determine quality and reliable international suppliers for efficient and safe importation. The logistics process of importing by sea will allow the company to select the best international supplier under the contracting of an efficient incoterms term that lowers logistics costs and allows the merchandise to be moved under quality and safety parameters. The company must be in charge of applying the logistic process of import detailed in this work, under the fulfillment of each activity, guaranteeing the reduction of costs and the satisfaction of its clients.
