Diseño del plan estratégico para el hospital nuestra señora de la Merced de la ciudad de Ambato periodo 2016-2020

Abstract

The objective of the research work was to design the strategic plan 2022 - 2025 of Hospital Municipal Nuestra Señora de la Merced, in order to contribute to the ideal functioning of all areas, both technical and administrative, and to have an administrative tool that facilitates the institution's direction in the next 5 years, with medium and long term objectives. The research has a mixed or quali-quantitative approach. Field and bibliographic-documentary modalities were used. The techniques were the interview and the survey, with a questionnaire addressed to the manager and collaborators of the institution. The results that could be obtained are that most of the respondents are unaware of the existence of a strategic planning of the hospital, therefore, they do not know what is the vision, mission, corporate values, strategic objectives, action plan, so there is no empowerment of people with the institution, similarly there is no participation of internal and external stakeholders, the previous planning was not systematically evaluated, so there is no full information on whether or not it was fulfilled with what was raised. The conclusions reached in the research work are based on a theoretical-scientific foundation on Strategic Planning without any setback, which allowed to have a value judgment and to take or seek the best alternative solution. The planning must be monitored and evaluated annually in order to make adjustments to comply with the institutional mission and vision. On the other hand, the AOP (Annual Operating Plan) must be aligned with the strategic objectives of the planning.
