Evaluación de la movilidad en la avenida Samborondón a través de un modelo de macrosimulación en el cantón Samborondón, Provincia del guayas, período 2022.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to evaluate the mobility of Samborondón avenue through a macrosimulation model in the Samborondón canton, Guayas Province, which allowed to identify the current situation, the methodology was through application of an exploratory investigation, through primary information collected in the field, these being mainly vehicle counts and also observations of pedestrians, cyclists, public transport and the main characteristics of the road, with the data gathered in the field, the evaluation was carried out through the traffic software PTV Vissim 22, which was able to determine the behavior of the road through the measurement of service levels that allowed the identification of the problem. Giving as a result, that there is a large amount of private vehicle traffic, due to the possession of these in the area, in addition to determining geometric and control characteristics that are not adequate, alternative needs are identified that allow the problem to be reduced in short-term, and medium-term, which were evaluated with the software, noting the improvement in behavior of mobility along the avenue. To sum up, the objectives of this research were met, that allowed to identify the problem, provide solutions and evaluate them, so it let the improvement in mobility. It is recommended, constant monitoring and the application of technology in mitigation measures that are proposed in the future.
