Motion graphics de la historia del Ferrocarril del Sur” y su llegada al cantón Alausí.

Abstract

San Pedro de Alausí canton belongs to Chimborazo province, it has beautiful streets and places that deserves its recognition as Ecuador's cultural heritage. Due to its wide territorial extension it was considered to have one of the several train stations around the country in which the "steel giant" known as the south railway should travel. The objective of this curricular integration project was to design a 2D animated video known as Motion Graphics, in which part of the history of the construction of the railroad was captured until the arrival of the train to Alausí canton. In the research process, descriptive, qualitative and historical - logical methods were applied in order to reinforce and verify the veracity of the different sources of information and data collection. It helped to identify the different characters and important historical events. For the development of the audiovisual product, the Design Thinking methodology was implemented. At this stage, a vectorization, animation and video editing process was carried out with the help of digital design tools, obtaining as a result an audiovisual product that synthesizes and represents the effort and work of Ecuadorians during the construction of this iconic work. It is concluded that the organization of information allows to compare and demonstrate the veracity of the information sources in order to be able to use them safely on the narration of the history. It is recommended to take into account the resources and time availability to optimize the pre-production, production and post-production process.
