Inventario de las manifestaciones culturales de los cantones Riobamba y Colta de la provincia de Chimborazo.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to develop a documentary inventory that shows the current events in Colta and Riobamba cantons in the province of Chimborazo, in order to generate interest and recognition by the inhabitants who are unaware of the events that each canton offers. We applied for this research the ethnographic method that is based on the analysis of socio-cultural processes, as well as the synthetic method was also used, which refers to documentary resources and the population. All this involved the organization and classification of accurate data for the future elaboration of the objective, which allowed the development of the documentary inventory in a successful way by chromatic and categories. This, in view of the fact that in both cantons there is enough material that has allowed the registration, especially because most of these events that are experienced in these places are still in use, some of the events belong to two categories atthe same time, in the same festivity or celebration, with this the inhabitants can show the present inventory of each canton and thus feel their legacy, their culture and know exactly what is called event and to which category it belongs according to the information that has been presented. With this, it is recommended to promote the enhancement and care of the events in the cantons, by means of the corresponding municipalities and governments, thus promoting the conservation ofthe 55 cultural events, 26 belonging to Colta and 29 to Riobamba canton.
