Evaluación de parámetros técnicos y calidad de servicio de una red de acceso utilizando el estándar ITU-T G984.X para brindar servicio triple play a 500 usuarios.

Abstract

The objective of the research was to design a Passive Optical Network with Gigabit capacity, through the use of the G.984.x standard in order to provide a Triple Play service satisfying the quality requirements of the users. for this reason, the sector of Sucúa was taken as a study. In the first place, an analysis of the technical parameters and quality of service in the propagation of light on the optical fiber was carried out, determining the behavior of the signal when traveling through an optical medium through an access network such as FTTH, its architecture and topologies, in the same way the different PON standards were examined in order to determine which of these has the best benefits to be applied in the study area and in turn the feasibility of the project. Based on the number of homes with their respective 10-year projection, the distribution of the different networks that make up the FTTH network with GPON technology was carried out, determining the necessary equipment to finally proceed to make its optical budget for the link to the most distant users and close to each district theoretically and through OptiSystem 18.0 software analyzing the quality of the network; besides, ArGis 10.3 was used to have a georeferencing of the study area. In addition, the project investment and its respective payback were also calculated. To conclude, it was determined that the project is viable and feasible so that it can offer a convergent network in the Sucúa area. It is recommended to properly size the network with its respective backups, since each year the population increases.
