Diseño de un manual para los procesos de laboratorio clínico del Centro de Salud Tipo B GADMR

Abstract

The main objective of this research study was to focus on the clinical analysis laboratory of the GDMR which does not have a procedures manual. Therefore, there are no standardized activities or actions that serve as guidelines for the health personnel who work within it, giving way to a difference between the members of the laboratory. Therefore, the objective of this research was to design a procedures manual for the type B health center of the GADM clinical laboratory in the city of Riobamba. The methodology implemented had a quantitative approach, a nonexperimental design was used since variables were not manipulated, but phenomena are observed and described as they occur naturally, the population in this study were the different procedures that are carried out within the clinical laboratory, being fundamental a documentary study to obtain the respective information through techniques, instruments, among which were surveys to laboratory personnel, a checklist regarding the ISO 15189:2012 standard and a final survey to the same work team. Through this methodology, it was determined that the team performed the procedures in different ways, where the errors were mostly in the pre-analytical and postanalytical parts, however, the design of the manual according to the shortcomings and training on them. It was concluded that the document had a positive impact within the laboratory, improving the services offered and safety, as well as promoting the unification of opinions, and minimizing errors in the different phases of the procedures carried out.
