Evaluación del servicio de transporte público intraprovincial-caso Cooperativa de Transportes “El Cóndor” período 2020-2022

Abstract

The objective of this degree project was to carry out an evaluation of the intra-provincial public transportation service - "El Condor" Transportation Cooperative, period 2020-2022"; where the current situation was investigated, then an evaluation was carried out using different data collection instruments and the different indicators were also analyzed. For the development of this research project, it was necessary to know basic concepts related to transportation and everything that concerns the Transportation Cooperative ¨El Cóndor¨ since it was the central axis of the study. On the other hand, the results of the data collection instruments were analyzed, evidencing several faults to the Interprovincial Public Transportation Regulation (RTIPP) in the units and infrastructure; there are also several complaints from users about the passenger transportation service, it was also found that the drivers or assistants do not have training related to transportation, road safety and likewise there was also evidence of faults to the INEN 1668 Standard in several units of the cooperative. The conclusion is that there is average compliance with the indicators of punctuality, accessibility, infrastructure, safety, and customer satisfaction; therefore, applying the proposal presented to avoid sanctions from the control entities, improve the quality of service, and increase profitability is essential.
