Estudio de factibilidad para implementar un Centro de Revisión Técnica Vehicular en el cantón Píllaro, provincia de Tungurahua, año 2023

Abstract

Currently, the canton of Píllaro lacks a Vehicle Technical Inspection Centre, which hinders the provision of quality service and increases the risk of accidents caused by mechanical failures. Therefore, the objective of this research was to conduct a Feasibility Study for the implementation of a Vehicle Technical Inspection Centre located in the canton of Santiago de Píllaro to ensure the safety of vehicles when diagnosing possible mechanical failures, facilitating compliance with current regulations on transport and road safety issues. The applied methodology had a quantitative approach; the population under study were the inhabitants of the canton, fundamental the application of descriptive and field research to obtain the respective information through the methods, techniques, and instruments, among which was the survey done to the people belonging to the canton, in the same way, a market study was made, to determine the current supply and demand of the service and the respective economic survey was made in which the leading financial indicators were analyzed, obtaining the following results; NPV of 212. 690.66, an IRR of 28%; the period of recovery of the investment will be from year 2 of starting with the project with a cost-benefit of $1.29; that is, for every dollar invested, there will be a benefit of 0.29 cents, from the financial point of view. It is concluded that implementing a Vehicle Technical Inspection Centre in Canton Santiago de Píllaro was considered profitable and feasible through the Concession Management Model. It is recommended that the Municipal Government of Canton Píllaro consider the present Feasibility Study, which will guarantee the safety of vehicles registered there.
