Abstract

The "flexible bag biodigester" was designed for the production of biogas, with the excrement from livestock on the Quilotuña farm of the Shobol Llin llin community, San Juan parish, Riobamba canton. Applying the quantitative methodology, the following was carried out: The amount of daily load. By means of physical-chemical analysis, the quality of the manure was determined in order to generate biogas. Using the descriptive method, an environmental baseline study was carried out. The topography made it possible to limit an appropriate site for the subsequent construction of the biodigester. The dimensioning was carried out by applying formulas and geometric equations to obtain the respective plans. The research used materials such as: portable weather station, GPS, AutoCAD 2012 design software. Obtaining dimensions of the biodigester: With a total volume of 20 m3, occupying a liquid phase of 15 m3, a gaseous phase of 5 m3. It will fit a 9.26 m long trench, a total height of 1.6 m and dome perimeter 1.95 m. The loading and unloading tank is cylindrical in shape, each with a total height of 0.9 m and 1 m in diameter. This technology is not an expense, but an investment that will bring great economic and environmental benefits in the medium and long term. With a biogas production of 4.42 m3/day, which meets the energy needs of the site, and a biofertilizer production of 326.36 kg/day for agricultural use. Technical dissemination of the biodigester is recommended, so that it is known and understood by the entire population, especially the rural population.
