Plan de salvaguardia del patrimonio cultural inmaterial, de la parroquia San Andrés, cantón Guano, provincia de Chimborazo

Abstract

This research paper aim is to design the plan for safeguarding intangible cultural heritage of San Andres parish, of Guano canton, in Chimborazo province; for the establishment of concepts, methodology, criteria and actions that allow programming a higher level of awareness, especially among young people, about the importance of keeping alive the identity of its people and to potentiate in a touristic way the intangible cultural events. It begins with the situational analysis of the relevant aspects in the social and cultural process, consecutively the inventory of intangible heritage was done using the tab NCPI succeeded in identifying 27 intangible cultural events including the categories of oral traditions and expressions, performing arts, social practices, rituals and festive events, knowledge and practices concerning to nature and universe, besides traditional craft techniques. Also the valuation was carried out to determine whether the statements comply with characteristics of attachment to the fields of the intangible heritage, intergenerational transmission and validity, representativeness and community and collective recognition, respect for human rights, equality, respect for diversity and social and cultural sense. The SWOT matrix was performed and critical points and key success factors that were basis for the formulation of strategic objectives and strategies were identified, consecutively four programs and ten projects were operationalized seeking community participation for the revitalization and proper safeguard of intangible cultural events. It is concluded that San Andres parish has intangible cultural heritage and it is internalized in its people and interconnected with many areas of daily life, however is subject to vulnerability, being in function of providing solutions to protect and preserve the heritage, strengthen identity, cultural memory and that these demonstrations were coordinated with the tourist potentiation.
