Plan de desarrollo de turismo sostenible para el cantón Pablo Sexto, provincia de Morona Santiago

Abstract

The present research proposes: to formulate a plan of sustainable tourism development for the canton Pablo Sexto, province of Morona Santiago; According to the analysis of the situational diagnosis of the tourist destinations and the rate of tourist potential, which is a competitive advantage over other cantons that are in the province, and supporting on the basis of the cluster methodology, 4 spaces of analysis and planning of touristic activity were developed, it was also done a proposal that considers 5 programs, 11 projects, 25 components and 85 activities with their corresponding planning and budgetary implications of annual intervention, which show the articulation of tourism projects for the investment in the canton Pablo Sexto until 2021, articulating and defining actions with the public, private, community and educational sector that are stated in the programs described and established for this purpose, being a sustainable alternative for the socio-economic, cultural and environmental development, diversifying productive activities, promoting the value Chains and competitive added value, improving this way the life standards of the inhabitants. The research concludes that tourism in the canton has to be given the appropriate value since it has a great variety of tourist attractions which must be used in a sustainable way for the enjoyment of its inhabitants. People of the canton and especially the authorities should take advantage of the tourist resources which are source of work and economic income for the most vulnerable communities of the canton Pablo Sexto. The programs and projects described in the plan must be developed for the purpose of the place to be a reference in tourism for the other surrounding cantons.
