Abstract

The present research work, has the purpose to realize the implementation of an automatic air-conditioning system, creating in this way necessary conditions of comfort. In Ecuador, the lack of rules and fundamentals for the implementation of air conditioning systems, makes us resort to international standards such as ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers). Given that the conditioning system should be used as a tool to improve thermal comfort, it should be maintained the parameters such as humidity and air temperature within permissible values. It will realize a calculation of total thermal load generating in the computer lab I, the same ones that will help us to select the equipment and other accessories for the air-conditioning system. Finally, it was presented the results of the calculation and implementation scheme. With the culmination of the conditioning system, it will generate a comfortable environment for the occupants. Through a detail analysis about the thermal load that affects the computer lab environment, it can be concluded that the implementation has agreed to the considerations indicated in the ASHRAE. Besides, it was recommended the similar studies are carried out to the other computer labs to ensure comfort of users.
