Abstract

In the present work a manual of technical guides of practices was carried out in the workshop of CAD-CAM of the Faculty of Mechanics, of the Escuela Superior Politecnica of Chimborazo, of de city of Riobamba, for the SHADONG 6140 lathe with technology CNC, which has a GSK 980 TDb controller. For the writing of the most relevant concepts in the theoretical context the deductive reasoning method was used, and for the design and manufacture of mechanical elements which performs the interface of the CAD-CAM systems, the controller sends the functions of instruction to the machine with the help of a computer that makes the geometric design, mechanical design, preparation, modeling and generation of ISO codes by Siemens NX; and perform the interface of CAD-CAM control programs with the machines-tools. There are many benefits of a machine of this technology such as: it can provide multiple manufacturing processes, it helps to optimize time and resources due to the precision with which it works, and it helps to the learning process of the students who handle that type of machine. The practices manual is done in didactic and easy-to-understand manner following a systematic structure based on the technical criteria to handle CNC machines. The implementation of the practices manual helps to improve the teaching – learning interface between students and teachers, managing to perform manufacturing operations and determine the parameters of machine manipulation, previously checking the code segments and using the respective personal protection equipment.
