Plan de prevención de riesgos e implementación para el Camal Municipal del Cantón Pelileo.

Abstract

It has made the application of signaling and mitigation equipment, against fires to the slaughterhouse municipal from Pelileo, in order to improve safety and health in the working areas, applying process diagrams by activity and carrying out an analysis through a check list evaluation. The implementation of a risk control plan, in the slaughter areas of cattle and swine animals at the slaughterhouse municipal from Pelileo, aimed to improve the performance and safety of workers, those who are engaged cattle and swine animals to meet the demand from the entire canton, which will identify some risks with new methods, so, this will enhance the efficiency of workers and also it will guarantee the safety of human talent, machines and equipment. After knowing the processes, that are performed in each work area, the risks were identified, through the application of the National Institute of Workplace Safety and Hygiene (INSHT) matrix, in order to analyze and assess qualitatively the risks, and then control the identified risks by priority, according to the matrix’s assessment method. With the finding analysis and the development of a risk control plan for the institution, it is necessary to carry out placement of signs and fire equipment, using Ecuadorian norms as: Decree 2393, Technical Standard Ecuadorian and International Organization for Standardization (NTE ISO) 386-1, and supported by international regulations as NFPA 10 (National Fire Protection Association), among others. The same ones that regulate the decisions at the moment of the implementation. In addition the implementation of this researching work will mitigate and eliminate the factors of risks causing insecurity, thus improving the working environment of workers and preserving their physical and mental integrity. It is recommended that the signaling could be removed only when the risk and maintenance of the portable fire extinguishers is phased out, this should be carried out every three months by the responsible, as determined by the NTP 680 (Extinguishing Equipment Review Plan).
