An emulated, interactive, digital screen was analyzed, designed and implemented utilizing infrared technology as a didactic resource for Exam Preparation Institution. A comparative analysis was performed between various alternatives to select an ideal device with infrared technology, as well as, the software necessary to implement said screen at a later date. The wireless communication channel between the devices made use primarily of the Bluetooth technology defined by the standard of the Electric and Electronic Engineers Institution (IEEE802.2.15.1). A Wii controller (Wii Mote) was necessary for the system´s design. It acted as an infrared sensor by receiving the signal emitted from an IR diode which is part of an infrared pointer and simultaneously determining its location. Furthermore, the additional external component called a Nunchuk was used to control the cursor wirelessly. In addition, an Arduino Nano was needed and used as an intermediary device for the reception of the information sent by the wireless Nunchuk to the computer. The application was developed on the Labview and Visual Studio C# platforms which were integrates into one piece of software in charge of processing the data received by the system´s components and executing the instructions given by the user through the pointer. The results indicated that the emulated, interactive, digital screen has a high percentage of efficiency (80%) and precision compared to an interactive commercial screen which also includes a wireless controller that facilitates the interaction between the Interactive Digital Screen (IDS) and the user. The development of this prototype offers a cheap alternative IDP which makes it easier to acquire and at the same time contributes to the improvement of didactics, as well as the teaching/learning processes in educational entities which want to motivate and interact with their students in order to offer a better service. We recommended utilizing a reflective surface such as white boards to increase the IDP´s precision.es_ES
