Plan de desarrollo turístico para el cantón Huamboya, provincia de Morona Santiago

Abstract

The present investigation proposes: to elaborate the plan of tourist development for the canton Huamboya province of Morona Santiago; Consisting of three stages, the first corresponds to the diagnostic situation where it has been validated through the analysis of relevant documents, trips and interviews in the physical, political, sociocultural, economic and ecological fields, the tourist inventory was realized in which 5 attractions were identified that belong to the category of natural sites and 5 to cultural manifestations, the canton counts on basic services and facilities to develop tourist activities, in the second stage a market study was executed by means of the application of surveys to national and international tourists, determining that the demand of young people and traveling alone or with friends having as a preference to carry out adventure tourism, agro tourism and community tourism, as far as the philosophical vision was developed in base to participatory workshops and interviews, strategic management matrixes, the evaluation of external factors and the evaluation of internal factors are used to define the mission, vision, policies and strategic objectives. In the third stage of the plan, 5 programs and 9 projects were formulated with a total budget of $221930.00 with a five-year intervention time in which the publication, training, cultural revaluation and promotion of this project was prioritized. Way the present plan becomes a strategic tool to develop sustainable tourism activities in search of longed for good living in the Huamboyan population.
