It tested the efficacy of the fungusPhanerochaete chrysosporium in the biodegradation of azodyes in the effluent of an artisanal dyeing, located in “Parroquia La Providencia” Guano County. The fungal organism was initially grown on laboratory dishes (PDA) Potato, Dextrose, Agar at27 ° C. After that, it cut the mycelium and seeded in triplicate onto two lignocellulosic substrates(barley and wheat). To analyze the toxicity of the sample, it inoculated the same mycelium in 6laboratory dishesof PDA + effluent (3:2) in a final volume of 20mL. Then the behaviorof themycelium against the enzyme promoters were analyzed and prepared 6 laboratorywith PDA toadd tartaric acid, benzyl alcohol or peroxide + 5mL of the sample, and the inoculated each of thethree classes of mycelium cultivated initially. Finally, it used three media, A: glucose, ammoniumtartrate and Tween 80; B: Glycerol, Ammonium Tartrate and Tween 80; C: Benzyl alcohol, tartaric acid, besides hydrogen peroxide in a total of 19 treatments and their replicates. The T1-T8 treatments used the media A or B that are supplemented with lignin, starch and MnSO4 , withT9-T13 that used the above supplements without any other, T14-T16 used media A, B or Cwithout supplement, taking into account that all the above mycelium came from S.L.; T17-T19and tested trough A, B or C with PDA mycelium. The concentration of effluent wasmaintainedat 40%. On the other hand, it tested periodically the change in color content (PtCo) and azo groups(λ=350nm), thus determining by means of the analysis ANOVA of a factor the existence ofasignificant difference between the initial and final values of these factors. From the results, itconcluded that all treatments showed significant differences, in which T16 collects the conditionsto degrade the content of azo groups at 90%. It recommends modifying the nitrogen content ofthe sample, whose deficiency will enhance the degradation efficiency of fungus P.chrysosporium.es_ES
