Abstract : The objective of this research had as objective the analysis of the iconic ancestral representations referring to the agricultural production of the Valdivia culture for the design of patrimonial cereal packaging in Chimborazo, because the farmers of the province bring their products directly to the market field but without a corporate identity. The Information was obtained through a compilation through photographs in different museums in Ecuador. Archeological Museum and Contemporary Art (MAAC) and Presley Northon of the city of Guayaquil and museums, Mindalae, Casa del Alabado of the city of Quito. Once the pieces were observed, a record of those photographs with the most enhancement was made, using a student-managed vector treatment software. It is important to mention that, in the development of the project, a preliminary investigation was carried out of who are the potential buyers of the product, Being the result of the sample calculation 67 women of the province of Chimborazo. Between the ages of 35 and 39 years of middle social class, the same ones that through a questionnaire contributed to the investigation with the objective of knowing the habits of consumption and of purchase, in addition were obtained suggestions for the design of the container. The graphic application took into account the categories and laws of composition, which allow a design to be much more organized and obtain unity. It is concluded that the ancestral iconographies have a great wealth since they contribute in the cultural field and in this way it is possible to rescue the identity of those people who inhabited in Ecuador, at the same time it is recommended to encourage this type of projects to keep alive the Identity and even with the help of graphic design, since this profession has no limits.
Resumen : El presente trabajo de titulación tuvo como objetivo el análisis de las representaciones icónicas ancestrales referentes a la producción agrícola de la cultura Valdivia para el diseño de Packaging de cereales patrimoniales en Chimborazo, debido a que los agricultores de la provincia llevan al mercado sus productos directamente del campo, pero sin una identidad corporativa. Se obtuvo información mediante una recopilación a través de fotografías en diferentes museos del Ecuador: Museo Arqueológico y Arte Contemporáneo (MAAC) y Presley Northon de la ciudad de Guayaquil y los museos, Mindalae, Casa del Alabado de la ciudad de Quito. Una vez observadas las piezas se elaboró una ficha de aquellas fotografías con más realce, mediante un software de tratamiento de vectores con licencia estudiantil. Es importante mencionar que, en el desarrollo del proyecto, se ejecutó una previa investigación de quienes son los posibles compradores del producto, siendo el resultado del cálculo muestral 67 mujeres chimboracenses de 35 a 39 años de clase social media, las mismas que mediante un cuestionario aportaron a la investigación con el objetivo de conocer los hábitos de consumo y de compra, además se obtuvieron sugerencias para el diseño del envase. En la aplicación gráfica se tomó en cuenta las categorías y leyes compositivas, que permiten que un diseño sea mucho más organizado y obtenga unidad. Se concluye que las iconografías ancestrales, tienen una gran riqueza ya que aportan en el ámbito cultural y de esta manera se logra rescatar la identidad de aquellos pueblos que habitaron en el Ecuador, a la vez se recomienda incentivar este tipo de proyectos para mantener viva la identidad y más aun con la ayuda del diseño gráfico, ya que esta profesión no tiene límites.
