Actualización del Manual de Funciones y clasificación de puestos del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal San Cristóbal de Patate

Abstract

This research aims to update the manual of Roles and job classifications of the Municipal Decentralized Autonomous Government belonging to San Cristobal de Patate; in order to avoid duplication of functions and classify them in accordance to the skills of each of its employees. Both, the qualitative and quantitative methods used in this research since these aim to inquiry about the skills, knowledge and the percentage of employees receiving training as the percentage of employees owning labour experience in the role they perform, for this reason, it has been conducted a survey as tool for gathering information. The findings obtained by the tabulation and analysis of the questionnaire, highlighted the fact that not all employees are aware about the functions to be performed in their workplace. The updating process of the manual of functions and job classification will help employees take into account the functions to de performed in their respective workplace as well as the technical and behavioural skills reflected in the manual of roles according to the dictionary of labour competencies. Besides, it will be accomplished the new job profile template issued by the Ministry of labour. It is recommended that municipality updates the manual functions and job classification each year in order to reduce conflicts in the workplace by the duplicity of functions.
