| Abstract : | The objective of the research work was focused in the design and evaluation of a distribution system with an open digital television UHF for Ecuavisión channel, located in the Riobamba city. It carried out an investigation of the current regulations based on architecture TVA used by Ecuavisión, and the implementation guide according to the Brazilian standard ABNT- NBR-150 which establishes the minimum level of field strength (51 dBuV/m). At the same time, it combined searching methodologies to obtain information of the equipment that is used in the company; the logical-deductive research method, and with the support of the offers delivered by Ecuatronix analyzed the cost / benefit for Ecuavisión. To verify the coverage and limitations of the analogue transmission used the Radio Mobile Software and Google Earth for the different coverage values and made a coverage projection for TDT. It is concluded that the study for the migration of analogue transmission to TDT under the standard ISDB-Tb is viable and feasible covering the 80% of the total coverage for Riobamba and its surroundings, obtaining optimum levels of field strength for digital signal transmission. It is recommended that Ecuavisión trains its staff in the areas of production, programming and multimedia contents to take advantage of all the TDT resources. |
| Resumen : | El objetivo del trabajo de titulación fue el diseño y evaluación de un sistema de distribución UHF de televisión digital abierta, en el canal Ecuavisión de la ciudad de Riobamba, se realizó una investigación de las normas vigentes sobre la arquitectura TVA que actualmente usa el canal Ecuavisión y la guía de implementación de la norma brasileña ABNT-NBR-150 donde establece el nivel mínimo de intensidad de campo (51 dBuV/m). Se combina metodologías de búsqueda sobre la información de los equipos que utiliza el canal y el método de investigación lógico deductivo, con la ayuda de las ofertas entregadas por parte de Ecuatronix, se analizó el Costo/Beneficio para Ecuavisión. Para verificar la cobertura y limitaciones de la transmisión analógica, se utilizó el Software Radio Mobile y Google Earth, para los diferentes valores de cobertura y se realizó una proyección de cobertura para TDT. Se concluye que el estudio para la migración de transmisión analógica a TDT bajo la norma ISDB-Tb, es viable y factible, logrando cubrir un 80% del total de la cobertura para Riobamba y sus alrededores permitiendo obtener niveles óptimos de intensidad de campo para la transmisión de señal digital. Se recomienda que Ecuavisión capacite al personal en las áreas de producción, programación y contenidos multimedia para aprovechar todos los recursos de TDT. |
