Construcción de un discurso proyectual a partir de los elementos que configuran el taita carnaval del cantón Guaranda

Abstract

The objective of the research was the formation of a project discourse based on the elements which forms the Taita Carnaval in Guaranda canton in order to promote culture. First, the Taita Carnaval of Guaranda canton as representative icon of carnival Celebrations was theoretically analyzed. The tools that allowed us to know and to collect The needed information to determine the construction of the graphic pieces were: the interview, this technique was applied to five Taitas Carnavales (people demonstrating the representative icon of the party) in order to obtain information of the carnival celebration in Guaranda canton. The inductive method which allowed us to determine specific conclusions of the questions of the interview as well as the deductive method which allowed to specify the correct characteristics of the Taita Carnaval costume to make a project discourse were used in this research. The results show that 95% of people knew about the origins of the traditional festival, 95% stated that the costume as a representative icon of the carnival is losing round, 90% said that the customs have gradually been lost (carnival jorgas, counterpoint, play with water and dust. From the tools used, a basis for the construction of new graphic pieces that help to promote the local culture as a symbol of belonging was set up. It is recommended to use this research as a basis for further investigations related to the Carnival of Guaranda and the Taita Carnaval.
