Análisis de la generación de aceites vehiculares residuales a través del estudio estadístico en la zona urbana del cantón Riobamba.

Abstract

In this degree investigation a statistical study of the generation of vehicle-oils used in the urban area of the Riobamba Canton was carried out with the purpose of knowing certain aspects in the management of the city’s oil, the amount of oil that is generated and the destination of the waste coming from automotive establishments and also knowing the regulations for the use of castoff oil. For this target, the cadaster with the necessary data from the GAD of Riobamba was obtained, such as the number of automotive stores, the name of each one of them And their locations. An interview for gathering the information was developed, which was applied to every lubricator and automotive workshop of the city, with all the information obtained, a database was settled for their respective study, once the statistical analysis was performed, the percentage and graphs were obtained for its interpretation. At national and international level there are standards, appropriate processes and manuals for the management and recycling of castoff industrial oil, in the automotive establishments of Riobamba the Municipal Ordinance is not fulfilled, since the result show the lack of responsibility in the handling of this waste. It is clear that adequate measures must be taken to control environmental contamination by residual vehicle- oils, this research also becomes a starting point for other research on the management of this waste.
