Estudio de oferta y demanda de transporte terrestre de las modalidades existentes en el cantón Píllaro, provincia de Tungurahua en el período 2023-2024

Abstract

The study of supply and demand of land transportation of the existing modalities in the Píllaro canton, province of Tungurahua in the period 2023-2024, was carried out with the objective of analyzing the current situation of land transportation in the canton to determine supply and demand current by modality applying the methodology of the National Transit Agency (A.N.T). For the development of the research, the inductive-deductive research method was applied, together with field research and research instruments such as surveys of the population and transport operators in order to collect data that allow determining the current situation where the needs suffered by this canton were determined in the existing modalities and where they should abide by a new resolution where they can cover the needs of the general population and thus transport people in a safe, efficient and comfortable way from the cantonal capital. Once the unmet need was identified and using the methodology of the National Transit Agency (A.N.T) resolution No. 108, fleet sizing was carried out for each of the modalities: conventional taxi (10 units), school and institutional (17 minibuses). or 14 buses), public transport (3 units) and regarding light cargo there is an oversupply of 3 units which would not be necessary to increase more units
