Mejoramiento productivo mediante el balance de línea aplicando un método heurístico para el proceso de alistamiento de unidades importadas (CBUS) en la Empresa CIAUTO

Abstract

The purpose of this technical project was to propose the plan of productive improvement through the line balance, applying a heuristic method for the process of enlistment of imported units CBU (Completely Built Up) in CIAUTO company. An exploratory and field methodology was applied in the company's facilities, which together with the bibliographic research allowed the collection and recording of information on concepts and definitions related to the assembly lines as well as those particular to the process of preparing imported units for the following vehicle models: SHINERA Y X30L, VAN C35, SOUEAST DX3, and GLORY 560. The inductive method proposed the process diagram and the qualitative approach allowed the theoretical calculation of the cycle time of the activities and the number of process stations. The heuristic method aimed to minimize the number of workstations and maximize the production rate by identifying the tasks with the most time use, establishing precedents, making the diagram of precedences and setting up the activities at each workstation for greater efficiency. It is concluded that the line balance in the process of enlistment of imported units (CBU) would increase efficiency from 65% to 75%, in addition, the reduction of reprocesses would eliminate bottlenecks and increase efficiency between 90% and 95. It is recommended that the company develop instructions, train personnel and maintain the machinery to guarantee the quality of the product.
