Evaluación de contaminación acústica del área comercial en la zona 6 de la ciudad de Macas, provincia de Morona Santiago

Abstract

The main objective of the current research work was to evaluate noise pollution in the commercial area in zone 6, located in the Macas city-Morona Santiago province by means of the analysis of sound pressure levels caused by commercial activities. The research approach was mixed: quantitative to obtain and examine data from the measurement of the acoustic phenomenon through the use of a sound level meter, and qualitative in identifying the intensity of the noise produced through a range of colors that are established in the current environmental regulations. The research level had an explanatory nature and due to the noise monitoring could observe and elaborate acoustic maps with the ArcGis software, allowing analyzing the origin of the high noise levels that occurred in the different points of the area. The type of study was documentary by collecting information from different research, also field sources in the collection of information useful to identify the points that were implemented. With the regular grid method took 42 points for the evaluation process over a period of three months with two monitoring frequencies. Once the data were collected, they were compared with the Maximum Permissible Limits stipulated in “Acuerdo Ministerial 097A, Reforma al Libro Vl del TULSMA” The evaluation determined that in the three months was possible to identify greater noise pollution in the evening mode, exceeding the 60 dB that are established in the current environmental regulations. On the other hand, it was identified that in the acoustic maps present a high concentration of noise in the southern and central part of the study area.
