Plan de salvaguardia del patrimonio cultural inmaterial del pueblo Quisapincha, parroquia San Antonio de Quisapincha, cantón Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to develop a Safeguarding Plan in the San Antonio de Quisapincha parish, which had a specific focus on the protection of intangible cultural heritage. It was carried out in four stages: first, a territorial characterization was carried out based on a comprehensive analysis of the potential and weaknesses of each element of the territory through the diagnosis by components proposed by SENPLADES. Secondly, it was registered as an Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) of the Quisapincha people. The methodology used was participatory, applied, and non-experimental at an exploratory, descriptive, and analytical level. Thirdly, the vulnerability of the Intangible Cultural Heritage was established through the approach of indicators and variables for the valuation of cultural manifestations, which are 1) Transmission; 2) Memory; and 3) Identity. These criteria were assessed and standardized and then grouped into three macro groups. The existence of equality between the current manifestations was established with a percentage of 44%, followed by the vulnerable manifestations with 44%, and the highly vulnerable manifestations with 12%. Finally, it was formulated the philosophical, strategic, and operational approaches. As a result, 25 cultural manifestations were registered in technical sheets proposed by the INPC. The plan also included five programs with 14 projects budgeted at $196,900.00, which are focused on the transmission, protection, promotion, and dissemination of Quisapincha's intangible cultural heritage. In conclusion, it was found that 12% of highly vulnerable manifestations are linked to dance characters (drummers), and it was recommended to establish information campaigns for the community residents about the tourism use of the ICH.
