Efecto de la aplicación intrauterina de diosmina en el retorno de la ciclicidad de vacas lecheras post parto.

Abstract

The main objective was to evaluate the effect of intrauterine Diosmin (D) on the return of ovarian activity and cyclicity in postpartum dairy cows (PP), developed in El Carbón farm, in Holstein mestizo cows, from 3 to 6 years old, with body condition score greater than 2.5; free of reproductive pathologies, the control group (A) and group D: 1500mg (B) were used. It was evaluated using the Chi Square Hypothesis Test (P<0.05); and for continuous variables t-Student (P<0.05) and (P<0.01), with Pearson's correlation analysis. The results obtained in the physiological state of the cows at 25 days before calving and at 5-10 days PP of A and B, do not show statistical differences in the variables studied; At 20 to 25 days PP, no statistical differences were observed in study parameters, except for the thickness of the endometrium (P≤0.05) of 20.57 (A) and 23.59 (B), and the level of LH (IU/L) (P≤0.05) of 53.65 and 5.82 for A and B, respectively; at 35 and 45 days PP, they presented significant differences (P≤0.05) in weight, size of right and left ovarian follicles, FSH (IU/L) and highly significant differences (p≤0.01) in % involution uterine (UI) and days open (DA), reporting values of 570.26 kg; 7.67; 6.59; 21.81; 95.73 and 59.16, respectively. With a greater negative correlation between UI and DA of -0.69. It is concluded that intrauterine Diosmin acts on the return to estrous cyclicity, having a positive effect on the uterus and ovaries.
