Diseño de pictogramas representativos de la cultura de las parroquias rurales del cantón Riobamba.

Abstract

The objective of this investigation was to design a system of pictograms for the different objects of the cultural manifestations of the eleven parishes of the Riobamba canton, the cultural wealth that the canton presents in these areas constituted the basis of the investigation and subsequent creation of pictograms, through a documentary and descriptive investigation, the texts and photographs that allowed the culture of the canton to materialize were compiled and analyzed, in this way to continue with the realization of the design stage, the methodology proposed by Bruce Archer was used through which they came to propose two graphic systems, the first system is composed of filled geometric shapes that propose a law of perspective called background and shape, while the second system is structured by lines that together when observed make up a law, known as the closing law, applications of the pictograms were also made to represent each of the ramifications that make up the demonstration. The graphic proposals were compiled in a digital catalog, showing the process from the base photograph, analogous sketch, compositional grid, and final vectorization of each one of the 34 proposed pictograms, this concluding that the representative cultural manifestations of the Riobamba canton are scarcely featured and valued, allowing the canton to lose an identify the town should be valued and documented far more.
